Symptoms include diarrhea, nausea, stomach cramps, fever, and fatigue.
If there is something you can't stomach, it's probably a gastrointestinal issue.
Southeast Public Health is informing residents about a gastrointestinal virus that is spreading around the Kingston area.
They say there has been a recent increase in the number of cases.
They say many people who come up with this illness often have diarrhea but also experienced nausea, stomach cramps, fever, and fatigue.
SEPH says stomach illnesses can spread very easily from person to person and are advising those who experience symptoms to stay at home for at least 48 hours.
You are also being reminded to wash your hands with soap and water. They say hand sanitizers doesn't work on some stomach illnesses.
They say if you experience any symptoms for more than 48 hours to see a doctor or health care provider.
