The cause was equipment failure in an area serviced by Hydro One.
Many Kingston residents were in the dark after an overnight power outage in the west-end of the city.
Utilities Kingston reported that 5,348 customers were affected by the outage that began around 2:54 am Friday.
They say the cause was an equipment failure in an area serviced by Hydro One. The outage spilled into parts of an area serviced by Utilities Kingston.
Power was fully restored by 6 am.
