The auxiliary donated over $392K to Kingston Health Sciences Centre.
The Kingston General Hospital Auxiliary is making a huge donation to Kingston Health Sciences Centre.
$392,776 will be going towards the purchase of ventilators for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and a point-of-care ultrasound machine for the pediatric program.
The Auxiliary announced the donation at their annual general meeting on Monday.
The funds come from revenue generated by the Auxiliary Café, tuck shop, gift shop and lottery booth. They also come from fundraising initiatives including the Christmas Bazaar and annual holiday Teddy Bear Campaign.
The Auxiliary identifies the equipment needed with the help of KHSC teams then goes out and purchases it.
