One person is dead following a collision between a vehicle and transport truck, two people were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
UPDATE: OPP say one person has died in Wednesday's crash on the 401. Investigators say the collision occurred around 10 pm when an eastbound tractor trailor crossed a grassy median and struck a vehicle in the westbound lanes head-on. The driver of the vehicle died at the scene. The two occupants in the transport truck were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The investigation continues.

A serious crash closed down a section of Highway 401 east of Gananoque.
Emergency crews were called to an area between Highway 2 and Reynolds Rd late Wednesday night.
Investigators say a vehicle collided with a transport truck in the westbound lanes.
That section of the highway in both directions were closed as a result. Eastbound lanes reopened around 8 am, westbound lanes reopened just after 12 Noon.
Investigators have not indicated whether anyone was hurt. They are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or have dashcam footage to contact Leeds County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
