The Provincial Bail Compliance Dashboard is operated by the OPP.
Kingston Police have another tool in an effort to ensure offenders meet bail conditions.
They have signed on to the Ontario Provincial Police's Provincial Bail Compliance Dashboard. It supports officers in managing individuals who have been released on bail for firearms-related offences and crimes against the person offences.
In a news release, the dashboard provides critical information about individuals released on bail for a broader range of high-risk offences. Through enhanced information sharing and near real-time access to data, officers can proactively identify and respond to potential bail violations.
Police say this will allow officers to more effectively monitor compliance with court-imposed conditions. They say it will further strengthen their ability to monitor high-risk offenders in the community and enhance public and officer safety.
