Ontario 511 launches real-time ferry tracking feature to help travellers plan ahead.
Ontario 511 has launched a new feature allowing Glenora and Wolfe Island ferry users to track their ferry in real time before heading to the dock.
The new “Track My Ferry” feature is available through Ontario 511’s interactive map. Users can open the map legend in the top-right corner of the screen and select “Ferry Services” to view a live boat icon showing the ferry’s current location, destination and estimated arrival time.
Officials say the feature is designed to give travellers more information to help plan trips and reduce uncertainty around ferry wait times.
Ferry users can still receive updates through other Ontario 511 services, including by calling 5-1-1, using the mobile app or subscribing to email and text alerts for ferry status notifications.
