The rain couldn't dampen the spirits of those taking part in the MEGABike ride in Kingston.
A number of groups and organizations took part riding a 30-seat bicycle around downtown Kingston on Tuesday to raise money for United Way KFL&A.
President and CEO John DiPaolo says it is a great way to bring the community together.
This is the first time that the MEGABike has stopped in Kingston. The United Way chapter in Hastings and Prince Edward used the MEGABike last year to raise money.
DiPaolo says that experience prompted their office to do the same.
Several people from My Broadcasting Corporation Kingston also took part in the ride.
Once groups got on the bicycle, they were guided by their driver and peddled along King St, Ontario St, and Brock St.
DiPaolo says the MEGABike was a great way to see downtown Kingston.
The final totals are still being calculated but DiPaolo says each ride generates $1,500.
