An online survey is open until July 31.
Loyalist Township is asking residents to share their views on proposed traffic calming measures and intersection designs for an upcoming road improvement project on Amherst Island.
An online survey is open until July 31 and follows a recent Public Information Centre. The township says public feedback will help shape future decisions on the project.
The work includes repaving sections of Stella 40-Foot Road and Front Road, constructing new sidewalks, replacing existing sidewalks, and improving drainage in the Village of Stella. Plans also call for traffic calming measures at the intersection of Stella 40-Foot Road and Front Road.
The project aims to create a safer pedestrian route between the Amherst Island ferry docks and the Village of Stella while improving accessibility. Public consultation will continue through 2026, with construction expected to begin in 2027, pending budget approval.
