Loyalist Township is now accepting nominations for its 2026 Civic Awards, recognizing individuals and organizations who make a difference in the community.
Residents are invited to nominate local volunteers, community leaders, and non-profit groups who have contributed their time and skills to improve life in Loyalist Township. Eligible nominees include residents, business owners, or those who directly serve the township through projects, events, initiatives, or acts of goodwill.
The township says volunteers and community champions play a key role in building a strong, welcoming, and resilient community. Their efforts range from organizing events and mentoring youth to supporting environmental initiatives and inclusive programs.
Awards will be presented in five categories: Citizen of the Year – Bill Lowry Award, Junior Citizen of the Year, Senior Citizen of the Year, Organization of the Year, and the ResiLient Community Award.
Nominations must be submitted online. Detailed eligibility requirements and nomination forms are available at loyalist.ca/civicawards.
The deadline to submit nominations is Monday, March 9, 2026.
