Two men were seen robbing a bank in Clarence-Rockland east of Ottawa.
A Loyalist Township man is facing charges after an armed bank robbery in Clarence-Rockland last month, according to the Ontario Provincial Police.
Police say officers were called to a bank around 9:25 a.m. on Feb. 27 after receiving a report of a robbery in progress. Investigators say two suspects entered the bank and one produced what appeared to be a black handgun.
The suspects fled the scene in a black Ford F-150.
OPP say the vehicle was later spotted by Hawkesbury OPP about 20 kilometres away in Plantagenet, where officers stopped it and arrested two suspects without incident.
A 57-year-old man from Loyalist Township and a 59-year-old man from Gatineau, Que., have each been charged with armed robbery and disguise with intent.
Police say both men remain in custody as the investigation continues.
