The women are preparing to head to Aix-les-Bains for the annual International Breast Cancer Participatory Dragon Boat Festival.
Councillors Vincent Cinanni, Wendy Stephen, Lisa Osanic were at the Collins Bay Marina where the team practices on Monday to deliver the official City of Kingston flag.
Linda Jackson, past captain of the Chestmates, says the flag will be on display during the parade.
4,500 breast cancer survivors will be taking part in the festival. There are 350 teams from 170 cities in over 70 countires.
The Chestmates will field a team of 24 women.
Jackson herself is a breast cancer survivor and says she joined the team soon after she received treatment.
The International Breast Cancer Participatory Dragon Boat Festival goes August 23 to 29.
