City looking to fill several voting location positions, with applications due Sept. 8.
The City of Kingston is looking for community members to work at voting locations during the 2026 municipal election.
Workers are needed on Oct. 16 and 17 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The city is hiring deputy returning officers, machine operators and greeters or demonstrators. Customer service and computer skills are encouraged, but previous election experience is not required.
Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada. Successful candidates will work at voting locations across Kingston and earn between $220 and $249, depending on the position.
All election workers must complete in-person training at City Hall between Sept. 28 and Oct. 15.
Applications must be submitted by Sept. 8. Successful applicants will be contacted in September with their assignments.
