Public open house will gather feedback on long-term transportation plans tied to growth.
The City of Kingston is inviting residents to help shape how people will travel across the city for decades to come.
An in-person open house on May 11 will focus on the city’s new Integrated Mobility Plan, a long-term strategy guiding transportation planning through 2051. The plan is being developed alongside Kingston’s new Official Plan to better align land use with roads, transit and active transportation.
City staff say the plan will identify future infrastructure needs and policy directions for streets, frequent transit corridors, and walking and cycling routes. The goal is to build a system that is safe, efficient and accessible for all users.
Residents can drop in to review draft transportation networks, explore displays and speak with the project team.
The session runs from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Kingston Central Library.
