The City won in the Trust and Transparency category competing against other public sector ventures across North America.
The City of Kingston are receiving a Granicus Digital Government Award.
The winners of the 15th annual awards were announced on Tuesday celebrating public sector excellence across North America. Kingston were one of three winners in the Trust and Transparency category.
In a news release, the City was recognized for its exemplary community engagement process around a proposed multisport stadium. It used surveys, public Q&A tools, and in-person outreach to give city council a clear, representative picture of public opinion.
Kingston was one of three winners from Canada and one of two in Ontario.
