New platform lets residents report non-emergency incidents anytime from any device.
Kingston Police have launched an enhanced online reporting platform aimed at making it easier and faster for people to report non-emergency incidents.
The service allows residents, business owners and visitors to submit reports at any time using a computer, tablet or mobile device. Police say the tool is designed for incidents that are not life-threatening, not in progress and do not require an urgent officer response.
Eligible reports include theft, fraud, vandalism, lost property, traffic complaints and harassing phone calls, among others. Submissions are reviewed by officers and may be followed up if more information is needed.
Police say the system will help improve accessibility while ensuring frontline officers remain available for emergency calls.
Users can also upload photos, video and documents to support their reports. Each submission generates a confirmation number for records.
To file a report, visit www.kingstonpolice.ca and select “Online Reporting,” choose the incident type and complete the form with details.
