Kingston police seize more than 300 grams of crystal meth in Wilson Street search

A 32-year-old Kingston resident faces drug and proceeds-of-crime charges following a police search.

Kingston police say more than 300 grams of crystal methamphetamine and cocaine were seized during a search at a Kingston residence.

Special Services officers executed a search warrant July 31 at a home in the area of Wilson Street.

Police say investigators found 335 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 33 grams of cocaine, Canadian currency, packaging materials and a digital scale.

A 32-year-old Kingston resident was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance, possession of proceeds of crime and failing to comply with conditions of a court-ordered release.

The accused was held at Kingston police headquarters for a show cause hearing.

Police say the investigation is part of ongoing efforts to disrupt drug trafficking and reduce the harm caused by illicit drugs in the community.

The investigation remains ongoing, and the accused's charges have not been proven in court.
