Close to 130 offence notices were handed out for speeding, stunt driving, and other infractions.
It was a busy Victoria Day weekend for Kingston Police.
They were conducting a long weekend traffic safety blitz between Friday (15th) and holiday Monday (18th). A total of 129 provincial offense notices were issued over the four days, most of them were for speeding, two were for stunt driving.
One commercial driver faced multiple highway act charges after a roadside inspection . They include: operating while under suspension, failing to surrender a pre-trip inspection report, and travelling at 73 km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone.
They say the initiative was part of ongoing efforts to improve road safety and reduce collisions, injuries, and fatalities through proactive enforcement and public education.
