The Hanson Memorial Parking Garage will remain open, but drivers should expect temporary closures on some levels.
Drivers in downtown Kingston will face temporary parking restrictions as rehabilitation work begins at the Hanson Memorial Parking Garage on Monday, Oct. 26.
The garage at 105 Brock St. will remain open during construction, which is expected to take four to six weeks.
Work will include waterproofing repairs, minor concrete repairs and painting. Completion is anticipated by late November or early December.
Construction will happen in two phases to maintain parking availability. During the first three to four weeks, levels four and above will be closed to parking. The second phase will last one to two weeks, closing levels two and three.
A driving lane will remain open on those levels to provide access to upper-level parking.
Drivers are encouraged to allow extra time or use other municipal parking options.
