Annual program celebrates young leaders making a difference across Kingston.
Nominations are now open for the fourth annual Kingston Young Professionals 40 Under 40 Awards, recognizing emerging leaders who are helping shape the future of the city.
Kingston Economic Development announced Wednesday that the program will honour 40 individuals under the age of 40 whose achievements are making an impact in business, non-profit organizations, government and the wider community.
The awards celebrate professional excellence, leadership, innovation and community involvement. Since launching in 2023, the initiative has recognized 120 young professionals whose contributions have helped strengthen Kingston's reputation as a place where talent can thrive.
“Each year, the 40 Under 40 Awards remind us that Kingston's future is being shaped by an extraordinary group of young professionals,” said Cathy Campbell-Wilson, board chair of Kingston Economic Development, in a statement.
Campbell-Wilson said the awards recognize people leading businesses, driving innovation and strengthening the community through their work.
Residents can nominate a candidate or submit a self-nomination. Nominees must live in Kingston or the surrounding area, be under 40 as of Dec. 31, 2026, and demonstrate outstanding achievements in their field and community.
Nominations close Aug. 7. Winners will be honoured at a gala Sept. 16 at the Frontenac Club.
