Grant Bedard's platform is focused on homelessness, addiction, and mental heath.
A self-described drifter is running to become the next mayor of Kingston.
Grant Bedard is a drawing his experience working with people on the streets in his mayoral bid.
Bedard was brought up by Children's Aid Society at a young age. He has been living with his wife for the last 20 years.
Bedard has been working mostly odd jobs. He has no previous experience in office.
His platform is focused on homelessness, addiction, and mental heath, something Bedard says can be done if everyone can buy in to help eradicate it.
Bedard believes the problems associated with homelessness, mental health and addiction has grown faster than the ways to solve it.
While he is the fifth candidate running for mayor, Bedard says don't expect to see him out campaigning.
Bedard is going up against incumbent Bryan Paterson and challengers Conny Glenn, Vanessa Mensah, Stephen Cuthbertson on October 28.
