Bryan Paterson took to social media to explain why he is running to represent Kingston and the Islands as MP, and leave Kingston's Mayor's Chair.
The Conservative candidate released a statement Tuesday, saying affordability, public safety, and economic uncertainty are getting worse under the Liberal government. He believes only federal solutions can fix these problems.
“I hear every day from those who are struggling to make ends meet, concerned about safety, and worried about the future,” Paterson said.
He says the Conservative plan offers “common sense ideas” to lower costs, improve security, and strengthen the economy.
Paterson, who has been Kingston’s mayor since 2014, is urging voters to choose him in the April 28 election.
“If you believe it’s time for change… then I invite you to join me,” he said. More details about his campaign are available at Bryan4kingston.ca.
Paterson is on unpaid leave from his role as Mayor as he campaigns.
