City celebrates long-running naming rights agreement that helped grow one of Kingston’s busiest recreation hubs
The City of Kingston is celebrating 18 years of partnership with INVISTA, recognizing the company’s long-standing support of the INVISTA Centre and its impact on recreation in the community.
The naming rights agreement for the facility was first approved on May 6, 2008. Since then, the INVISTA Centre has become one of Kingston’s major recreation and sports facilities, hosting ice sports, fitness programs, community events and tournaments each year.
Kingston Mayor Bryan Paterson praised INVISTA’s contribution, saying the partnership has helped create a space where residents of all ages can stay active and connect with the community.
INVISTA Kingston Site Manager David Dempster said the company is proud to continue supporting the community through the facility.
Beyond recreation, INVISTA remains Kingston’s largest private sector employer, contributing to the local economy through manufacturing investment, jobs and community partnerships across the region.
