Kingston’s Partners in Mission Food Bank officially opened its new facility marking a major milestone in the fight against local hunger.
The event, held on Wednesday at 4 Harvey Street, included a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a tour of the new space, and an opportunity to meet the team behind the food bank.
Executive Director Dan Irwin said the new facility and shopping model are designed to make the food bank more welcoming and comfortable. He hopes the updates will encourage more people in need to reach out for support without hesitation.
The upgraded facility introduces a new shopping model designed to improve the experience for clients, making food selection easier and more accessible. Irwin said the opening represents years of planning and community support.
