City launches community survey to improve quality, affordability and inclusivity of early years programs.
Parents and caregivers in Kingston Frontenac are being invited to share their experiences with local child care and early years programs through a new community survey.
The City of Kingston says the 2026 Child Care and Early Years Community Survey will help officials better understand how families feel about the quality, affordability and inclusivity of programs in the region.
Participants are asked to reflect on several aspects of care, including child engagement, communication with families, accessibility, affordability and overall satisfaction with programs.
“Hearing directly from families helps us understand what’s working well and where improvements can be made,” said Heather Mitchell, manager of Social Services and Early Years with the City of Kingston.
Anyone who has used, plans to use or previously used child care and early years programs in Kingston Frontenac can take part, including families connected to EarlyON centres and before- and after-school care programs.
Feedback will help guide future planning and improvements across the community.
The survey is available here.
