Boys and Girls Club and Anchor Concrete invite the community to donate gifts, essentials, and stocking stuffers by Dec. 8.
The Boys and Girls Club of Kingston & Area (BGC South East) and Anchor Concrete are teaming up this holiday season to collect 1,500 Christmas stockings for children and teens through the Christmas Stocking Fundraiser, which runs until December 8.
The community is invited to donate stocking stuffers, full stockings, or monetary contributions to support families in need. Suggested items include toys, books, mitts, toiletries, snacks, and gift cards. Donations can be dropped off at Anchor Concrete (1645 Sydenham Rd.) or the Boys and Girls Club (1300 Bath Rd., Unit A-2).
Director of Resource Development and Communications Amanda Guarino says that they are helping kids aged 0-18.
“Our programs have grown incredibly over the years, and so has the need for support,” said Heather Cunningham, BGC’s Director of Programs and Evaluation.
Anchor Concrete President Darrell Searles added that the initiative focuses on both fun and practical gifts.
“We welcome toys, but are also looking for donations of essential items like toiletries and warm clothing accessories which everyone needs,” he said.
Guarino says that Boys and Girls Club are grateful for Anchor's leadership.
More information and donation options are available through BGC South East’s website.
