Downtown Kingston will come alive with international performers, market vendors and entertainment during the 36th annual festival.
The 36th Kingston Buskers Rendezvous begins today in Downtown Kingston, bringing four days of live entertainment, street performances and family activities.
In an interview with FLY-FM's Reid and Ben, event organizer Sandi Griffiths says that there will be acts from all over performing.
The festival runs from Thursday, July 9 to Sunday, July 12, featuring award-winning buskers from around the world performing in and around Springer Market Square, Ontario Street and Confederation Park.
Griffiths explains more.
Visitors can enjoy circle show performances, Busker Play shows for children, a Kids’ Zone and an Artisan Market throughout the weekend. Several downtown streets will close to traffic to allow performers to take over the area.
Griffiths gives us a sneak peak into one of the upcoming performances.
The City’s Movies in the Square event will not take place this Thursday due to the opening night of the Buskers Rendezvous.
Accessible viewing areas will be available at Confederation Park Stage and the corner of Brock Street and Ontario Street.
