Jacob Wilkinson says he heard Nicole Wattam's story on FLY FM and felt the need to do something about it.
A business in Kingston is stepping up to help a Napanee woman pay for her daughter's medical helmet.
Nicole Wattam was asking for the public's help in locating the helmet which went missing on May 5 after the two left a doctor's office at Hotel Dieu Hospital.
Since then, Wattam had to purchase a new helmet which cost thousands of dollars to replace.
But Jacob Wilkinson, of Jacob Nathan Home Furnishings, tells Reid and Ben of FLY FM that they heard Wattam's story and felt they needed to do something about it.
Wilkinson says that he and his family were willing to help cover the cost.
Wattam says she was very surprised when she learned about Wilkinson's offer.
The new helmet is being provided by V2 Innovations in Kingston.
Wattam says that means they do not have to travel to the Ottawa area to get it refitted.
Wattam's infant daughter requires the helmet to help shape the development of her head.
