Public input will guide next 10-year housing and homelessness plan.
The City of Kingston is inviting residents to share their input as it reviews and updates its 10-Year Housing and Homelessness Plan.
The plan, required under the Housing Services Act, 2011, helps guide local efforts to improve housing supply, address affordability, and reduce homelessness across Kingston and Frontenac County.
City officials say the update will reflect new data, changing community needs, and provincial priorities, including increasing affordable housing and improving supports for vulnerable residents.
Residents can take part by completing an online survey available until May 31 through Get Involved Kingston. Three public open houses are also scheduled in May at local community centres, giving people a chance to share feedback in person.
The City says input collected during the process will help shape housing policies and services over the next decade.
All feedback, except personal information, may become part of the public record.
