Kingston residents came together Sunday, for the 45th Terry Fox Run for Cancer Research at Lake Ontario Park.
The annual tradition, held in more than 650 communities across Canada, invited participants of all ages to walk, run, or roll distances of two or four kilometres. Kristi Murphy, the organizer of this years event talks about how accessible this is for all,
Registration opened at 8 a.m. and the run began shortly after 9 a.m., with families, friends, and community groups joining forces to honour Terry Fox’s legacy. The event has no registration fee or minimum donation, making it open and accessible to everyone, while encouraging contributions to cancer research.

The Terry Fox Run has grown into a national fall tradition, uniting Canadians around a shared goal of funding life-saving research. Organizers say the Kingston turnout reflects the community’s ongoing commitment.
