Issues with electrical and servicing caused the project to be pushed back several months
It took several months after their initial groundbreaking but there is progress being made at the latest Habitat for Humanity Kingston Limestone District build.
The foundation has been established on the lot off Wilson Street near Shannon Park.
CEO Gary Lees says they were faced with a number of hurdles that they had to overcome.
Lees says as a result, this caused them to push back their scheduled completion date around Christmas.
Shovels first went into the ground on the semi-detached home back in May.
Lees says some contractors have been brought in to help them get back on schedule.
Lees says the delays has put a dent in their budget on the build.
He says people can donate to the project by going to the Habitat for Humanity Kingston Limestone Region website.
