Service will run every 30 minutes during peak hours while maintenance work is being done.
The Glenora Ferry will operate on a reduced schedule for one day this week while the Ministry of Transportation completes required maintenance.
On Thursday, July 16, ferry departures will run every 30 minutes instead of the usual 15-minute service during peak daytime hours.
Drivers travelling between Prince Edward County and Adolphustown should plan ahead and expect possible delays. The Ministry of Transportation says alternative routes are available using County Road 49, Highway 62 and Highway 33.
Once the maintenance work is complete, the ferry will return to its regular seasonal schedule through Thanksgiving weekend. The service normally operates every 30 minutes during the early morning and evening, with departures every 15 minutes between 10:15 a.m. and 7:45 p.m.
The Ministry encourages travellers to check ferry information before leaving and to allow extra travel time during the temporary service reduction.
