Curbside bargain hunters will be looking for things that others want to get rid of.
As the saying goes: one person's trash is another's treasure.
This Saturday (June 14), the City of Kingston is having their second Giveaway Day of the year.
Residents who have unwanted items can put them to the curb, and those looking for items they can use can picked them up for free.
In a news release, Giveaway Days are meant to keep items out of landfills while giving others an opportunity to find bargains.
Items that can be put out for Giveaway Day include: books, CDs, DVDs, furniture and small appliances, electronics, construction materials (including drywall, lumber, hardware), kitchen gadgets, dishes, cutlery, pots and pans.
Things that are not accepted include: baby walkers, cribs, car seats, strollers, playpens, bath seats, mattresses, blinds and toys.
Items put to the curb should have signs or stickers with the word "FREE" on them.
