Gavin Betts is one of three goaltenders selected on the training camp roster for this year's tournament in Slovakia.
The Kingston Frontenacs may be out of the OHL playoffs but one player will still be lacing up the skates.
Goaltender Gavin Betts has been named to Team Canada's preliminary roster for the upcoming U18 World Championships in Slovakia.
The 17-year-old is one of three goaltenders and one of eight selected from OHL teams on the 23-player roster.
Betts is no stranger to playing for Canada on the international stage. He was on the gold-medal-winning team at the 2024 U17 challenge, and on the 2025 team at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup where they captured bronze.
The 2026 World U18 Championship starts April 21.
