He had 96 points with Upper Canada College U16 AAA this past season.
Not exactly a tall order for the Kingston Frontenacs but they did land a big forward in the OHL Draft.
The Frontenacs had the 10th overall selection and took six-foot-seven, 220-pound forward Logan Prud'homme in the first round on Friday night.
Prud'homme was congratulated by family and friends in attendance at Slush Puppie Place.
He says he was happy to hear is named called by Hall of Famer and Kingston icon Doug Gilmour.
Prud'homme scored 44 goals and 52 assists in 69 games last season with Upper Canada College U16 AAA.
He says he brings not only size but also a scoring touch.
Head Scout for the Frontenacs Aaron Van Leusen says Prud'homme shows a lot of promise and were lucky to grab him with the 10th pick.
Prud'homme joins a Frontenacs team that was one of the youngest in the Ontario Hockey League.
Van Leusen says he will fit in with the likes of Aleks Kulemin, Matthew Henderson, and Gavin Betts next season.
The in-person draft wraps up on Saturday with Rounds 2 to 15 at Slush Puppie Place.
