ALCDSB announced the winners of the 2026 Catholic Education Week Awards.
Four people from Kingston are being recognized for their contributions to catholic education.
The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board announced the winners of the 2026 Catholic Education Week Awards.
Izabela Machan of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys received an award for Excellence In Supporting Catholic Education. Machan is the Elementary Office Administrator and is known for her deep commitment to Catholic education, consistently upholding the dignity of every person she encounters.
Contribution to Catholic Education Award went to Regiopolois-Notre Dame teacher Geoff Mackler. Mackler was recognized for helping build a community where everyone feels known, valued, and inspired, and always leading with respect, kindness, and quiet dedication.
Volunteer Ron Wynn of St. Francis of Assisi took the Katherine Award for his many years of dedicated volunteerism and his invaluable role in daily school life.
And Grade Eight Holy Name student Chloe Graham was the Elementary Student Volunteer Award winner for consistently embodying the spirit of service within her school community.
