Kingston Fire & Rescue urges residents to stop using recalled items and follow safety instructions.
Kingston Fire & Rescue is warning residents about several recalled household products that pose fire or burn risks. The department shared the public safety alert on social media, urging anyone who owns the affected items to stop using them immediately.
According to the warning, Health Canada has issued recalls for Relight candles previously sold on Amazon.ca due to a serious fire hazard. Certain ANNQUAN brand power strips have also been recalled after reports they may overheat or fail to provide proper overcurrent protection.
Additional recalls include Muc-Off Disc Brake Cleaner, which poses a flammability hazard, and VEVOR garment steamers, which can leak or spit hot water and cause burns.
Kingston Fire & Rescue says these products may impact the safety of residents, their families, and friends. Consumers are advised to safely dispose of recalled items or follow Health Canada’s recall instructions for refunds or replacements. More information is available through Health Canada’s recall database.
