Two people are charged after police observed something that was in violation of cannabis act.
A police traffic stop in Kingston has led to the seizure of a quantity of illicit drugs.
Kingston Police stopped a vehicle in the area of Bath Rd. and Armstrong Rd. around 2:20 am Thursday morning for what investigators say was something that was in violation of the cannabis act.
An ensuing search of the vehicle turned up approximately 340 Hydromorphone pills, 30 Adderall pills, 150g of fentanyl, 17g of cocaine, and 20g of crack cocaine.
Investigators also seized five cell phones, two digital scales and $4000 in Canadian currency.
The two occupants of the vehicle, a 29-year-old from the Greater Toronto Area and a 27-year-old from Port Hope, were arrested and charged.
Both remain in custody after a bail hearing.
