Three people, one from Kingston, are facing charges.
A stuffed animal was used to hide drugs during a police raid in Kingston earlier this month.
Kingston Police say their Street Crime Unit began investigating suspected drug traffickers in August. Officers obtained a warrant for a home on Weller Avenue and executed it on Aug. 13 with help from the Emergency Response Unit and Canine Unit.
Inside the residence, investigators found quantities of fentanyl and crystal methamphetamine concealed in a stuffed animal. Police also seized packaging materials and a digital scale.
Three people, a 49-year-old from Kingston and two individuals, ages 38 and 40, from Belleville, were arrested and charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Police say the seizure highlights the ongoing threat posed by fentanyl and other harmful substances in Kingston. Residents are encouraged to report information about drugs or weapons directly to Kingston Police.
