Two people from the Quebec area are facing charges.
A joint investigation has led to the arrest of two people from Quebec after police stopped an attempted drone drop of contraband at Millhaven Institution in Bath.
On October 9, 2025, Correctional Service Canada, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit, and the East Region Tactics and Rescue Unit launched a joint operation following reports of a possible drone delivery at the prison. Officers located a suspect vehicle near the site and arrested two people after a brief investigation.
Police say they seized about 120 grams of suspected ecstasy, nearly 150 grams of cannabis, 40 grams of shatter, 270 grams of hash, and 100 grams of tobacco. A drone, cell phones, and delivery materials were also found, with an estimated institutional value of more than $300,000.
18-year-old Taha Oulidi of Terrebonne and 19-year-old Liyess Rakibe of Repentigny face several drug and weapons charges. Both were held in custody following a bail hearing in Greater Napanee on Oct.10.
