The suspect faces multiple charges faces including robbery and dangerous operation of a vehicle.
An individual has been arrested following a home invasion and vehicle collision in South Frontenac Township.
On April 29th just after 7:30 p.m., Frontenac OPP responded to a report of a suspect entering a residence in Inverary, threatening the homeowners, and fleeing the scene in the homeowners’ vehicle.
The suspect crashed the vehicle on Greenfield Road, causing a rollover and igniting a fire.
The individual fled on foot, prompting a large search operation by Frontenac OPP, assisted by the Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit.
South Frontenac Fire Rescue extinguished the flames and assisted with traffic control.
The suspect, later identified as 24-year-old Ethan Thompson from Mallorytown, was found around 8:30 p.m. with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
Thompson faces multiple charges, including robbery, dangerous operation of a vehicle, impaired driving, and breach of probation.
He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on June 10.
