The 20-year-old defenseman and team captain will be playing in the OHL in his fifth and final season.
Vann Williamson is coming back to the Kingston Frontenacs.
The OHL team announced on Monday that the 20-year-old Ajax native is returning for his overage season.
Williamson initially had committed to play for the Clarkson Golden Knights of the NCAA in 2026-2027 following the team's early playoff exit. He has since had a change of heart and told general manager Kory Cooper that he will be playing for the Frontenacs this coming season.
The defenseman completed his fourth season with the Frontenacs where he appeared in all 68 games scoring three goals with 34 assists. Williamson was also named team captain following the trade of Jacob Battaglia to Flint at the January trade deadline.
