Crews discovered a burst pipe Monday night affecting ice making for the rink.
Water from a burst pipe has forced the City of Kingston to close Centre 70 Arena.
Kingston Fire and Rescue along with Recreation and Leisure Services, and Facilities Management and Construction Services were called to the facility Monday night.
Crews discovered a break in the water pipe inside the arena causing damage to the ice plant and refrigeration system which allows ice to be made in the rink.
The City said in a news release that because of the extent of the damage, the arena will be closed until further notice.
They said staff are reaching out to user groups and those with active bookings to arrange alternative ice time where possible.
