Young Kingston entrepreneurs getting trained for summer business

13 people ranging in age from 15 to 29 are taking part in the Summer Company program.

13 youths are about to embark on their most ambitious adventure yet.

They were selected to take part in this year's Summer Company program operated by Kingston Economic Development and funded by the Province.

The program give youth between 15 and 29 essential business training, mentorship, and funding to launch and operate their own summer businesses.

In a news release, participants will take part in a comprehensive business bootcamp, covering crucial topics such as market research, financial management, marketing strategies, and business planning. 

Following their training, participants will be matched with experienced business mentors who will provide ongoing guidance throughout the summer as they navigate the challenges of running their enterprises.

Each participant will receive $3,000 in start-up funding.
