The Wolfe Islander III is heading back to Kingston.
The ferry is being put back into service after the vessel had a dry dock inspection in Hamilton.
In a news release, MTO says Wolfe Islander III will relieve the Amherst Islander II and the the Quinte Loyalist once it arrives in Kingston.
They say until then Amherst Islander II will continue to carry vehicles and passengers between the Kingston and Marysville docks from 7 am to 7 pm, and the Quinte Loyalist will transport walk-on passengers between Crawford Wharf and Marysville from 7 pm to 7 am until the Wolfe Islander III relieves both vessels.
The Wolfe Islander IV, which has been out of commission since Dec. 23, remains docked as crews work on repairing mechanical issues that have been plaguing the ferry.
MTO says they are working diligently to bring back the Wolfe Islander IV back to service as soon as possible.
Problems on the Islander IV has led to service cancellations resulting in passengers being stranded on Wolfe Island and on the main land.
