New event will show you how
Aspiring food producers can learn how to get their products to market at a full-day training session in Kingston.
The A to Z of Getting Your Food Products to Market takes place Friday, April 25, at Portsmouth Olympic Harbour.
Hosted by the City of Kingston, Frontenac County and the Township of South Frontenac, the event will feature experts from the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and local businesses.
“This is a great way to learn about opportunities and regulations,” says Tracey Snow, Manager of Rural Economic and Community Development at the City of Kingston.
Participants will explore food safety rules, renting commercial kitchens and selling to restaurants, stores or online.
The event runs from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $20, including lunch and free parking. Space is limited. Register on the event page.
