Aquaculture: Farming the Waters is on at the Great Lakes Museum.
The Great Lakes Museum is inviting visitors to take a look and see what agriculture is like under water.
They are holding an exhibit called Aquaculture: Farming the Waters that explores the farming of fish, shellfish, and seaweed in oceans, lakes, and on land.
Visitor Experience Manager Claire Notman says it highlights the rewards and challenged underwater farmers face.
The exhibit is on loan from Ingenium, Canada’s Museums of Science and Innovation.
Notman says it is an elaborate exhibit that they would not have been able to put it on display by themselves.
Notman says the great lakes is home a number of fishing farm communities include several from Prince Edward County.
She says there so many things that visitors will learn about underwater farming.
Aquaculture: Farming the Waters is on at the Great Lakes Museum until October 18. More information can be found at the museum's website.
