Last Tuesday's episode of the Amazing Race Canada featured the Limestone City.
Tourism Kingston is hoping some national TV screen time will result in a boost to the city's attractions and businesses.
Kingston, Gananoque and the Thousand Islands were featured in the Aug. 26 episode of the Amazing Race Canada.
In the episode, contestants went to Fort Henry and the Norman Rogers Airport navigating their way through tasks in order to proceed in the race.
Film commissioner with Tourism Kingston Joanne Loton watched the episode and was quite impressed with the way Kingston was presented. (May contain some spoilers!)
Loton says while the episode did put Kingston in the spotlight, it only gave a glimpse of what the city had to offer.
But what Loton is hoping is that the episode will peak people's interest in the Limestone City.
The crew of the Amazing Race Canada was in Kingston earlier this year to shoot the episode.
Loton says the two days of shooting and pre-production resulted in a $190,000 impact to the local econony.
She adds the city has seen an economic impact of $4 million to $5 million from film and TV production this year.
