Staff at Kingston Tim Horton's ready for Camp Day

One of the biggest fundraisers sees proceeds of coffee sales on July 16 go to help send kids to camp.

No need to pack anything for this camp day, just buy a coffee.

Tim Horton's locations in Kingston and across Canada are holding their annual Camp Day on Wednesday July 16.

Sales of hot and iced coffee sold on Camp Day will go to the Tim Horton's Foundation that helps underserved youth go to camp.

Co-owner of the Kingston stores Sherri Agnew says Camp Day is one of the biggest days that staff look forward to.

Agnew says customers understand the importance of Camp Day and, like Smile Cookies, they know to go buy a coffee from them.

While Camp Day is a one-day initiative, Agnew says there are other ways customers can help send a child to summer camp.

Last year, $60,000 was raised from the 14 Kingston-area locations.

98.3 FLY FM will be on location at select Tim Horton's stores in Kingston on July 16.
