Several incumbents managed to retain their seats in their respective districts.
While there will be a new person in the Mayor's chair, the rest of Kingston's City Council will mostly be the same.
Of the 10 races in the district, seven of the winners were incumbents.
Paul Chaves (2,011) was the unofficial winner in Loyalist-Cataraqui where he defeated his closest challenger Jeff Pearce (1,309). Dorian Hartley (533) and Charanjeev Sekhon (327) were also running in the district.
Lisa Osanic (2,143) won in Collins-Bayridge where she beat the lone challenger Joel Anthony Bruce (1,404).
Wendy Stephen (3,457) was victorious in Lakeside over Stephen Cuthbertson (540).
Jimmy Hassan (3,350) defeated challenger Prakash Dayal (372) with over 90 percent of the vote in Trillium.
In Kingscourt-Rideau, Brandon Tozzo (2,089) won over Michael Judd (609) and Kevin Smith (142).
Meadowbrook-Strathcona will have Jeff McLaren (1,663) back after beating Daria Juudi-Hope (1,336). Roger Dennis (287) was the other challenger in that district.
And Ryan Boehme (2,574) took Pittsburgh over Matt McTaggart (1,176), Chelsea Rae (284), and Zachary Typhair (182).
Among the newest Council members, Vic Sahai (1,413) beat out Jeff Scott (784) and Joesph Abreu (711) in Countryside. Annie Palone (809) won in Sydenham defeating Rajesh Kumar (390), John Meligrana (376), and Andrew DaCosta (190). Countryside and Sydenham did not have an incumbent in the respective races.
One district saw a challenger defeat the incumbent. Aba Mortley (1,241) beat out Greg Ridge (996) for the seat in King's Town. Melissa Reid (569) was also running.
The 10 will join acclaimed councillors Dom Amos (Portsmouth) and Vincent Cinanni (Williamsville), and newly-elected mayor Conny Glenn on City Council for the next four years. Glenn defeated incumbent Bryan Paterson for the top seat on council.
The results are expected to be certified on Tuesday.
