Davey won with nearly 50 percent of the vote, voter turnout was 29 percent.
Shawn Davey has been declared the winner of the Ward 3 by-election in Greater Napanee.
Davey received 492 votes out of 986 cast, beating Robert Dorey (220), Jeff Chestnut (183), and David McRae (88). Voter turnout was 29 per cent of 3,395 eligible electors.
KingstonDaily.ca spoke with Davey in Council Chambers when results were first announced Monday evening, shortly after 8pm.
Davey expressed gratitude to Ward 3 residents for their support.
He also confirmed he plans to run in the upcoming municipal election this fall, barring any unexpected changes.
Certified results are expected by noon on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026.
